Biography:
I am an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering Department at University of Michigan-Dearborn. I previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. I received my Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and M.S. and B.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. My research interests include the development of stochastic models and solution methods for capacity and resource allocation problems. Of particular interest are stochastic optimization and dynamic programming models that involve nonprofit/community and healthcare applications. I have a book and book chapter in this space. My papers have been published in Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, IISE Transactions on Healthcare Systems Engineering, International Transactions in Operational Research and European Journal of Industrial Engineering. |
